Random stupid question
Ok so I have a random stupid question that I am not sure how to phrase it so help me out here. When you are on your period and you get bloated and chubby, is that actual weight that you have gained, or is it like your body is swollen and it goes completely away after your period is over? The reason I ask I am wondering if it is pointless to work out while to you are on your period or if when my period is over I will have lost like 10 lbs! I have been working out while on my period but I am seeing absolutely no results so I am wondering if its because I am on my period. thoughts? comments? concerns?

I say its your period! I just was on mine and I dropped like 2-3 pounds! But I would keep working out! :o)
ReplyDeleteits all just water weight, it happens becuase of the chemical/hormone change in your body. Dont worry about it. just ignore weighing yourself that week because it will be all over the place & depress you. But it is still possible to lose durring the week its just weird because it doesnt present itself until after all the water weight is gone. so you can gain 3-5 on your period but then the next week you realized your actually 5 pounds down from the week before your period.
ReplyDeleteI was the SAME way when my Auntie Flo was in town. It's just water weight and when "she" goes away you'll be back to your normal-ness. I say keep up with the work outs if you can and you'll see results still. Like once your water weight is gone you'll probably have lost some since before your period... does that make a bit of sense?
ReplyDeleteIt is all water gain and all that fun stuff that goes along with it. Will you lose weight during that time, I'm not 100% sure. However, I do know it's good to still workout (even if you don't see any changes). It helps your body handle everything better.
ReplyDeleteI love the candidness in which we can speak about our periods on here!! It's kinda nice to have a place for that:)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, like everyone said, it's water weight. Somehow it appears when you start, and somehow it disappears when ya stop. I say keep working out, don't let a little flowage stop ya.
P.s. YOU ARE INSPIRING! You are full of knowledge on the subject and I love reading your stuff!
